It has been ten long years since Action Sports Maui started flying
the flag for IKO. The IKO is the International
Kiteboarding Organization and is famous around the world.
As Hawaii’s
longest running IKO school Action sports has enjoyed a great association as part
of the world’s largest kiteboarding community. When we became an IKO school, we
trained our instructors, and hosted many training courses. We have also had the pleasure to meet people from
all over the kiteboarding planet. Many who come to visit Maui
for our legendary trade winds. But also many more people who over the years have
become good friends. We didn’t know back in ‘03 that IKO would become such an
important part of our lives. It has allowed us to travel, and to share our kiteboarding
experiences with the world. Whenever you see the IKO flag flying, go and say hi,
because whoever flies the IKO flag is part of our kiteboarding family, and they
are always and friendly and happy to help you out.
